If you can answer yes to these questions, then check out how to join the Staff at the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Tall Oaks Camp! We are a non-profit camp that serves those that need camp the most…Kids that wouldn’t have an opportunity to attend summer camp otherwise.
Positions Open:
Lifeguard: As the Lifeguard you will:
-
if not certified, Red Cross training and certification will be provided,
-
be responsible to ensure the safety of campers while at the waterfront or in the water,
-
be able to respond to emergency situations, and
-
train camp staff in waterfront safety and how to be a waterfront observer
-
work with the camp staff to organize and implement a safe, fun, and recreational water program geared to the interests and abilities of campers.
Assistant Lifeguard: As the Assistant Lifeguard you will:
-
receive training as needed in Waterfront safety and First Aid,
-
assist the Lifeguard and staff to ensure the safety of campers while at the waterfront,
-
be able to respond to emergency situations, and
-
work with the camp staff to provide a safe, fun, and recreational water program geared to the interests and abilities of campers.
Camp Health Officer: as the Camp Health Officer you will:
-
If not a licensed medical professional, Red Cross training and certification will be provided,
-
conduct Camper Check-In prescreening and records,
-
dispense all required medications, maintaining required records,
-
provide general health care and first aid treatment for injuries or illness,
-
work with the staff to help provide a safe camping environment.
Assistant Camp Health Officer: as the Assistant Camp Health Officer you will:
-
work with Camp Health Officer in a professional and confidential manner,
-
be trained in Camp procedures to supervisor campers as needed,
-
assist in providing general health care and first aid treatment for injuries or illness,
-
work with the staff to help provide a safe camping environment.
Camp Counselor: As a Counselor you will:
-
directly supervise campers assigned to your cabin for their one-week camp sessions,
-
assist campers as they learn and grow while providing a safe, fun, nurturing environment,
-
work with other staff members to make each week fit campers needs and interests,
-
help campers develop and reach their fullest potential.
Kitchen Crew Member: As part of the kitchen crew, you will:
-
work under the direction of the Head Cook in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks to the campers and staff,
-
be responsible for dishwasher duty and kitchen clean-up,
-
help with stocking incoming food and supplies.
